Distributed Audio / Video
Distributed audio/video refers to a system that allows for audio and video content to be streamed or distributed throughout a home, rather than being limited to a single room or device. This is typically accomplished using a network of speakers, amplifiers, and video sources, which are connected to a central hub or controller that manages the distribution of content. In a typical distributed audio system, speakers are installed in multiple rooms throughout the house, and are connected to a central amplifier or receiver. This allows for music or other audio content to be played in any room where speakers are installed, with the ability to control the volume and source of the content from a central location. A distributed video system operates in a similar manner, but with the distribution of video content. Video sources such as cable boxes, Blu-ray players, or streaming devices are connected to a central hub, which distributes the video signals to multiple displays throughout the house. This allows for the same video content to be viewed in different rooms, with the ability to control the source and playback of the content from a central location. In both cases, the central hub or controller is typically controlled using a mobile app or remote control, allowing for easy and convenient management of the audio and video content in the home. The result is a seamless and integrated audio/video experience throughout the home, with the ability to access and control content from anywhere.
