So why call it “Automation” and not “Control”? Well, our systems not only give you control whenever you want it, but our customized systems can automate many of the daily functions throughout your home. For instance, this is a typical day before home automation.
- Wake up, begrudgingly, around 5:30-6:00 in total darkness.
- Motivate yourself to get up to turn on lights, get dressed, bump up the heat, open the shades, and take the dog for a walk.
- Most mornings you would forget to turn off the alarm and it would go off when you opened the door. When you returned from the walk, you would adjust more lights, turn the heat down a little, and turn on the TV to the news channel.
- After morning coffee, you might turn off the TV and put on the music while you stretched or had a light workout.
- Now it was time to head out for work. You walk throughout each room of the house turning off all the lights, turn off the audio system, set the thermostat back, and head out the door.
- At the end of your street, you realized that you did not lock the door and probably forgot to arm the security system.
Whew, that seems like a lot just to get out of the house in the morning. Well this sort of thing just continues throughout the day and into the evening, each and every day.
